BRIEF

TO REIMAGINE WHAT AN INTERNATIONAL LAW FIRM WORKPLACE LOOKS LIKE.
BREAK AWAY FROM A CONVENTIONAL CORPORATE MOULD; BLEND A TIMELESS PROFESSIONAL AESTHETIC WITH A FLEXIBLE MODERN LAYOUT WHICH CHAMPIONED ALTERNATE WORKING STYLES AND FACILITATED COLLABORATION AND INNOVATION.

EXPERIENCE

WHEN SETTING UP A NEW SYDNEY BASE FOR THEIR GROWING LAW FIRM, HOMAN FENWICK WILLIAN WANTED THEIR OFFICE SPACE TO TAKE A NEW DIRECTION – A SYDNEY-SPECIFIC DESIGN THAT MAINTAINS THE 5-STAR EXPERIENCE THEY ARE KNOWN FOR IN OTHER STATES.

VISITORS ARE WELCOMED INTO THE RECEPTION AREA BY CLEAN LINES AND SOFT FORMS, PAIRED WITH A NATURAL AND TEXTURED PALETTE. HANDMADE STATEMENT FURNITURE WITH A FOCUS ON LOCAL AUSTRALIAN DESIGNERS SIT FRONT AND CENTRE. THE VIEW AND ASPECT OF SYDNEY’S HARBOUR IS CELEBRATED THROUGH THE AUSTRALIANA PALETTE AND SANDSTONE TONES.

THE WORKSPACE DESIGN IS ELEGANT AND PROFESSIONAL, IN TIMELESS TONES OF CARAMEL, LATTES AND VANILLA. TRADITIONAL WORKPLACE HIERARCHY IS INTENTIONALLY CHALLENGED THROUGH DESIGN, WITH SOME OFFICES DECONSTRUCTED TO OFFER PREMIUM WORKSPACE TO MORE JUNIOR MEMBERS OF STAFF IN THE FORM OF LOUNGE-STYLE WORK AREAS – BRINGING A SENSE COMMUNITY TO THE WORKING HUB.
CONCENTRATION ZONES ARE INTEGRATED INTO THE SPACE, DEFINED BY TIMBER CEILINGS PAIRED WITH HIGH BACK CHAIRS FOR PRIVACY AND FEATURE FINISHES ALONG THE WALLS TO CREATE A FEELING OF INTIMACY AND SECLUSION.

THE BREAKOUT AREA CONJURES A HOSPITALITY EXPERIENCE, PROVIDING A PLACE FOR STAFF TO GATHER, WITH CONNECTION TO COLLABORATION ZONES WHICH EXTEND THE BREAK-AWAY FACILITY.
